Fire Angels

Fire Angels is a southern novel that takes place in central Florida between 1915 and 1925. It follows the lives and tribulations of David and Sara Cooper and their son, Noble. The family is affected by hard financial times, separation during World War I, murder, tragedy brought on by the influenza epidemic of 1918 and the lynching of a black neighbor.
Noble, a savant, and his black playmate and mentor, "Little Jack" Harris, are instrumental in solving the murder and the lynching of the neighbor.
Richardson has received several awards for his works in short story contests. This is his first novel.
