Directions: • Canaveral National Seashore's Visitor Center at Apollo Beach is located at 7611 S. Atlantic Ave, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169. Pick up a brochure or a Junior Ranger book. Get information about where to visit in the park. For more information call (386) 428 - 3384 extension 0. • To access Apollo Beach - take I-95 to exit 249, then go east until it turns into A1A. Follow A1A south to the park entrance. • Seminole Rest (28.8692, -80.8376) - is located east of US-1 in Oak Hill on River Road. In Oak Hill, turn east onto Halifax Avenue, which is located by the flashing caution light on US-1. Take Halifax Avenue east to River Road. Turn north on River Road. Seminole Rest is two tenths of a mile on the east side of River Road. |
Canaveral National Seashore Changes Entrance Fee to Address Infrastructure Needs & Improve Visitor Experience
The National Park Service (NPS) announced today Canaveral National Seashore will modify its entrance fees to provide additional funding for infrastructure and maintenance needs to enhance the visitor experience.
Effective January 1, 2019 the entrance fees to the park will be $15 per vehicle or $10 per motorcycle and $5 per pedestrian/bicycle for a 7 day visit. An annual park pass will remain $40. All of the money received from entrance fees remains with the National Park Service with at least 80 percent of the revenue going to Canaveral National Seashore.
PLEASE NOTE: all programs are subject to cancellation and/or rescheduling due to staff limitations, weather conditions, or other factors. Some programs require reservations, a minimum age, or a cost recovery fee. Call 321-403-9334 or 386-428-3384 ext. 0 for program information during operating hours (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM). Visit our website at www.nps.gov/cana. Entrance fees apply to all interpretive program participants. All programs meet the requirements for the Canaveral National Seashore Junior Ranger program.
