Special Needs Registry for Brevard and for Seminole County Residents for Emergency or Disaster
Whether we like it or not, hurricane season is just around the corner...AGAIN!!!
To that end, I am passing along the following links for Brevard and for Seminole County residents who have special needs related to emergency/disaster shelter/evacuation.
Please share with your customers and others who can spread the information.
These links offer registry options for those who anticipate needing assistance due to physical/medical needs during an emergency/disaster.
Encourage all in need to register in advance...allowing the counties to best prepare.
The Brevard County Special Needs program is for residents with specific health and/or medical conditions needing assistance with sheltering in times of an emergency or disaster during an evacuation. Residents who meet the Special Needs criteria and have no other alternative for a safe shelter should register with Emergency Management.
The Seminole County Special Needs Program is a voluntary program for disabled citizens that should be considered by individuals who have NO alternative than a public shelter, or need transportation to a shelter.
