CANAVERAL NATIONAL SEASHORE
Canaveral National Seashore will be hosting and participating in a Full-scale disaster exercise next Wednesday, Oct 22 with other Federal, State and Local agencies involving nearly 100 emergency response personnel.
PARTICIPATE IN FULL- SCALE DISASTER EXERCISEParticipants will include the National Park Service, U.S. Coast Guard, Civil Air Patrol, Florida's Urban Search and Rescue Task Force 4, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Seminole County Sheriff's Office. Volusia County's participants will include the Sheriff's Office, Fire Services' Hazardous Materials and Technical Rescue Teams, EVAC Ambulance and Mosquito Control.
The purpose of the exercise is to train personnel and evaluate their actions and capabilities during a multi-agency response to a downed aircraft and Haz-Mat incident.
