This week's National Park Getaway

Titusville, Fla. -- Travel with this week's National Park Getaway to Florida's Eastern Seaboard to explore an undeveloped seashore paradise. Midway between Daytona Beach and Melbourne, Canaveral National Seashore protects 57,000 acres of barrier island, open lagoon, coastal hammock, pine flat-woods and offshore waters.

Canaveral's 24 miles of pristine, coastal beachfront is prime habitat for many threatened and endangered species and nesting beaches for several thousand protected marine turtles. Mosquito Lagoon, one of the most diverse and productive estuaries in North America, encompasses more than two-thirds of this national seashore.
