About SPCA of Brevard

The SPCA of Brevard, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization with the mission of “protecting and providing a voice for homeless animals.” Founded in 1979 in Titusville, Florida, the SPCA is celebrating 43 years of saving lives as the largest private no-kill animal rescue group in Brevard, finding homes for more than 2600 animals a year. It is the first adoption facility with free-roaming cat rooms in the County, allowing adopters to interact with cats in a more home-like setting. It also has Thrift stores in Titusville and Melbourne, which function as fundraising venues to support the mission of the SPCA.

What we do:

  • Adopt animals to screened applicants
  • Accept owner-relinquished animals as space allows
  • Conduct microchip identification scanning on each incoming animal
  • Provide such educational & community services as:
    • Adoption counseling
    • Ownership guidelines
    • School programs
    • Pet food bank for low-income owners or terminally ill who desire to keep their pets
    • Pet therapy for the elderly, abused or handicapped people
    • We also feature a Cat of the Week and a Dog of the Week on our website and on our Facebook page.

    We are always looking for volunteers to help in both our adoption centers and in our thrift store. Volunteers are vital to our program and there are many opportunities for you to get involved! From laundry to helping care for our animals, we are sure to have an opening that will be perfect for you.

    SPCA of Brevard

    The SPCA of Brevard is a private, non-profit organization with the mission of "protecting and providing a voice to the homeless animals of Brevard County." It receives no funding from the government and relies on private donations to be able to serve the community. It operates thrift stores in Titusville and Merritt Island, which are stocked solely with donations for resale to help fund adoption center locations.

    Founded in 1979 in Titusville, Florida, the SPCA is the largest private no-kill animal rescue group in Brevard, will find homes for more than 2000 animals this year. It is the first adoption facility with free-roaming cat rooms in the County, allowing adopters to interact with the cats in a more home-like setting. Its new Adoption Center in Titusville is over 11,000 square feet and sits on nearly three acres. Additionally, it operates two satellite Cat Adoption Centers in the Melbourne and Merritt Square Malls, which have contributed to a 241% increase in adult cat adoptions. The SPCA of Brevard Clinic also provides reduced-price vaccines to the public and has performed more than 55,000 low-cost spay/neuter surgeries since 1999.

The SPCA Clinic offers low cost exams, shots, heartworm testing for dogs and heartworm treatment, combo testing for cats, flea products, blood work, x-rays, and much more.

SPCA is now full service with state of the art digital x-ray equipment and blood machine. Surgeries By Appointment Only.
SPCA has three full time veterinarians.

Foster homes needed for dogs and cats.

Puppies are $100 & dogs are $80.00 and include heartworm test and treatment if necessary, worming, shots up to date, spayed or neutered and microchip.
Kittens are $80 & cats are $60.00 and include FeLV/FIV test, wormed, all shots up to date, spayed or neutered and microchip.

Donations

We offer a pick up service for items that you would like to donate. Just give us a call Monday through Saturday 9:00am - 5:00pm to schedule a day and approximate time and we would be happy to pick up your donation items.

Saturday, 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
