PAL Great Examples
Titusville PAL has selected two members for continually striving to meet all the goals set by the PAL programs which they are enrolled in, and for setting a great example for other young people in our community. PAL will select two to three young people in the Titusville PAL programs each quarter which continually strive over and above to reach PAL standards.
The first quarter young people selected are Youth Director's Council President Kristin Leek from our Y.D.C program and Titusville Police Explorer Lt. Lorin LaPlante.

Youth Director's Council President Kristin Leek
Kristin Leek, age 17, is a Senior at Astronaut High School. She is the Youth Director's Council President, is the Key Club President, and is involved in Soccer, Student Government Association, National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, Youth People Department Secretary and Yearbook Staff. Kristin says being a part of the PAL YDC is a rare opportunity to get life skills and leadership training and she has fun meeting new people at the same time. "During the PAL Conference I, along with other local PAL members, get to meet people our age from California to the Keys. Just learning about everything we have in common and the common ground we don't share is always interesting. No matter how many times I listen to the key speaker's at the conference, I always get a new lesson out of it that I can apply to my life. It's also a chance to volunteer some of our time to different causes in the community. I have had a lot of good experiences being involved in PAL over the last few years."
We at Titusville PAL Congratulate Kristin for continually striving to meet all the goals set by the Y.D.C program and for setting a great example for other young people in our community. |

Titusville Police Explorer Lt. Lorin LaPlante
Lorin joined the Titusville Police Explorer post in March of 2004. She quickly moved up in rank by becoming a Staff Sergeant at only fourteen-years-old. Lorin proved herself and eventually became a Lieutenant. Due to a vacancy in the Chief's position, Lorin has been running the post since August of 2006. Lorin is a Sophomore at Titusville High School and recently turned sweet 16. Her number one enjoyment in life is being a Titusville Police Explorer. A close second is Lorin's love of music, especially anything that involves Billy Joe of Green Day. One of Lorin's goals is learning how to drive. When Lorin grows up, she wants to work for NYPD as one of New York's Finest.
We at Titusville PAL congratulate Lorin for continually striving to meet all the goals by the Explorer Program and for setting a great example for other young people in our community.

Titusville PAL
The Titusville Police Athletic League is a cooperative effort of the Titusville Police Department, a volunteer board of directors, business and citizens. PAL is funded by public contributions and governed by the volunteer Board of Directors. Money raised by PAL is used to run programs for the youth who participate.
PAL provides an avenue for participation for many youth, who would not otherwise be able to participate in organized athletics. PAL was organized with sports as the primary focus. The idea was and still is to use sports as an avenue to reach children who need positive values in their lives.
Living in an ever-changing world PAL has now added a Youth Enrichment Center. Our job is to help shape the youth of today, which will have a direct affect on the future of tomorrow.
Why PAL instead of some other activity group? PAL has police officers in your community showing the youth that they care, they are human, and are willing to help them. PAL provides a safe place for kids from 7-18 to play, socialize and learn.
Among our programs are:
- Pal Enrichment Program
- Basketball Program
- 3 V 3 Soccer Program
- Youth Directors Conference
- Cheerleading
- Titusville Police Explorers
- Sergeant Anthony "Lee" Miller Holiday Gift Grab
- Chief Carl T. Newland Memorial Golf Tournament JR.
- Titusville PAL Policeman's Ball — 2006 Ball photos
Programs are all available so we invite you to stop in and visit the administrative office to discuss which PAL program would work best for your child The Executive Officer of PAL or one of the staff members will be glad to help you and answer any questions you may have.
