The Friends of the Enchanted Forest, Inc.
is a volunteer, non-profit [501(c)3], organization
committed to the conservation of the Forest.

The Goals of the organization are threefold:

There is always an opportunity to show your love for the Enchanted Forest, and to enjoy its beauty.

There is something for anyone who loves the Enchanted Forest, and we would love to have you join with us.

Committees that welcome your participation:

For your consideration, funds are always needed to expand our community outreach.

Additionally, please see our Membership web page.

EEL operates the enlistment of Hosts and guides, and you are needed. Please call 321-264-5185 to volunteer some time in the Sanctuary as a host or guide.

EEL also operates volunteer coordination for Trails projects, which need to be kept clear, invasive plants must be removed, funds must be raised, data entry is always behind it seems, mailings must be prepared and sent, phone calls must be made.

The Friends meet on the third Wednesday of the month at either 5:00pm or 6:00pm (depending on the meeting program) in the Enchanted Forest. For more information, call Barbara Hoelscher, Vice President at 321-268-5888. Or, send an eMail to: vicepresident@enchantedforestfriends.org.

The 393 acre Enchanted Forest Sanctuary encompasses one of the last remaining large tracts of coastal hardwood forest in east central Florida. Its purchase was spearheaded by local community efforts. Acquisition became possible through the joint effort of The Nature Conservancy and far sighted Brevard County residents who imposed a tax upon themselves to create the county's Environmentally Endangered Lands (EEL) Program. Florida's Preservation 2000 Program and Conservation and Recreation Lands (CARL) Program have offset some of the costs.
