TURTLE WATCH RESERVATIONS FOR JULY
SATURDAY, JUNE 15TH - 9:00 AM TO 5:00 PM
It is time to begin making your reservations for the Turtle Watch programs. The programs will take place in both the North District, Apollo Beach, New Smyrna Beach and in the South District, Playalinda Beach, Titusville. Reservations for the July programs will be taken by phone only. The number to call is (386) 428-3384 ext. 223.

INTERPRETIVE PROGRAMS
SATURDAY 1ST - 1:00 PM - "EXPLORE THE SEASHORE VIA DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY"
Explore the seashore with a digital camera. We will compose the picture and learn about the natural history of the dunes/beach environment. Bring sunscreen and water. If you have a digital camera you can bring it. Or use ours.
Meet at Visitor Center. (1 hour)WEDNESDAY 5TH - 10:00 AM - "CLAMMING 101"
Learn how to collect this delicious by-valve from the waters of Mosquito Lagoon. Gathering clams has been an activity conducted in this area for thousands of years. Learn tips, techniques and recipes along with the Florida bag and size limits. Salt water fishing license is required. Must wear covered shoes (no sandals or flip-flops).
Park at Parking Lot #1 and walk across the street to the boat ramp. (1 hour)WEDNESDAY 12TH - 10:00 AM - "CAST NETTING"
Learn the skill and grace that goes along with this fun hobby. If you have a cast net, please feel free to bring it with you (we will provide a few nets). Bring water and insect repellant.
Meet at the Visitor Center dock. (1 hour)WEDNESDAY 5TH, 12TH, 26TH - 10:00 AM - "CANOE MOSQUITO LAGOON"
Reservations will be accepted a week before the canoe date. Join a guide as you explore this rich and diverse estuary up close. Some experience is preferred. You must be at least 8 years old and able to paddle. You must wear covered shoes (no sandals or flip-flops). Bring water, sunscreen and a hat. Dress to get wet. Individuals with their own kayaks or canoes are welcome to join in. Call (386) 428-3384 ext. 0 to reserve your spot.

Discover gifts from the sea on a walk on the shore. We'll look for seashells, driftwood and other wonderful surprises. Be sure to put on sun screen and bring plenty of water.
Meet at the Visitor Center.Apollo Beach Junior Ranger Programs will be held every Wednesday and Friday for the months of June and July from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm for details please call 386-428-3384 ext.0.
PLEASE NOTE: all programs are subject to cancellation and/or rescheduling due to staff limitations, weather conditions, or other factors. Some programs require reservations, a minimum age, or a cost - recovery fee. Call 386-428-3384 est. 10 for program information during operating hours (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).
