Our Nation's Veterans

These special events will honor and recognize all veterans and currently serving military, by sharing our gratitude for their service to our nation. Never should it go unnoticed nor forgotten what valuable sacrifice these men and women have given our country.


Our Veterans Day Remembrance Service in Veterans Park will be on Veterans Day, November 11, 2015 at 10:00 am.

The American Legion, Post 1 is the host organization for this annual event as well as for the Memorial Day Ceremony. The Flag and Memorial Committee is a proud support organization for those ceremonies.

A SALUTE TO VETERANS PARADE

Titusville American Legion Post 1, Titusville Flag & Memorial Committee (volunteers promoting good of the community) and Student Advisory Council (grades 9-11 students learning community involvement) are excited to announce our second annual First Annual Veterans Appreciation Parade on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 11:00 am. We look forward to your participation in what we hope will become a time honored parade that will celebrate and honor our beloved Veterans.

The parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. will go North on S. Washington Avenue (US 1) ending at Broad Street in beautiful downtown Titusville. There will be a staging area in the parking lot of Titusville City Hall where we will seat our Guests of Honors, World War II Veterans as well as our "Platinum" sponsors.

Donations and or sponsorships are to help pay the costs for closing the streets, licenses fees, insurances, advertising and other miscellaneous expenses for us to have the parade. Below you will see a link to the sponsorship letter but remember any little donation adds up and can help up make this event happen. Please make all donations payable to "The Veteran's Parade Committee" and mail to: American Legion, Post 1, 1281 US 1, Titusville, FL. 32796. We are a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization. Therefore, as a sponsor, your donation is tax deductible.

We also want organizations dedicated to supporting our veterans to participate in the parade either by marching, vehicle or floats. If you would like to do this also please contact Jo Anderson at the number below to sign up or complete the registration information below and return by mail or fax to Gail Gilchrist, City of Titusville. Let's get out and give our Veterans a Big Thank You

Thank you for your kind consideration and your subsequent generous support. Without individuals and organizations such as yours, none of this will be possible. Together, we can make a difference by celebrating the lives of our beloved veterans in an annual parade named in their honor.
