CHAMBER OFFERS "PRESCRIPTION" FOR TOUGH TIMES Titusville Area Chamber to distribute FREE Drug Cards Titusville, FL -- Titusville Area Chamber of Commerce is now distributing free discount prescription drug cards to the residents of Brevard County and the surrounding area. Titusville Drug Card is a free prescription assistance program that was recently launched to help uninsured and underinsured residents afford their prescription medications. The program, which is free to everyone, provides savings of up to 75% on prescription drugs (average savings are roughly 30%). Anyone interested in obtaining a free card can visit www.titusville.org. The Titusville Area Chamber of Commerce will be working to create awareness and distribute cards for the program. "The economy has adversely affected many of our residents. We want to help these people by making prescription drugs more affordable. The Titusville Drug Card comes at a time when people need it the most and we look forward to promoting this program," said Marcia Gaedcke, President, Titusville Area Chamber of Commerce. Anyone can download a "FREE" card by visiting www.titusville.org (click on FREE PRESCRIPTION DRUG CARD button). The Titusville Drug Card has no restrictions to membership, no income or age limitations, and Brevard residents are not required to fill out an application. The Titusville Drug Card is accepted at over 50,000 national and regional pharmacies around the country. The Titusville Drug Card has no restrictions or participation requirements and is open to everyone. While the Titusville Drug Card was launched to help the uninsured and underinsured there are applications in which this program can help others. The program can also be used by people who have health insurance coverage with no prescription benefits, which is common in many health savings accounts and high deductible health plans. Additionally, people who have prescription coverage can use this program for non-formulary or non-covered drugs. The Titusville Drug Card is a simple solution to the confusing maze of discount programs that have appeared in recent years. Many of these programs only cover certain drugs, charge fees, and include membership restrictions such as age and income limitations. The Titusville Card is also a safe option for those people concerned about their privacy. The program is administered by United Networks of America (UNA) who is the largest affinity benefits organization in the country.
